Gigahertz Secure E-Mail Policy
In order to ensure hassle-free e-mail communication with Gigahertz, please read the following information.
I want to exchange secure e-mails with Gigahertz
Gigahertz encrypts all e-mails if a valid public key can be found for the recipient.
Gigahertz employees are instructed not to accept any enrollments on third-party systems with a password, as our keys are accessible at all times for gateways and also manually.
Encrypting with S/MIME or OpenPGP
- You can find our employee certificates in the Z1 Global TrustPoint.
- So that we can encrypt to you, please publish your certificates in the Z1 Global TrustPoint or send us a signed e-mail with a certificate attached.
- Certificates from unknown CAs and trust centers are not recognized as valid. Please contact us so that we can add the CA concerned if necessary.
How do I know that the e-mail I received is really from Gigahertz?
Gigahertz sends e-mails from the domain gigahertz.de.
All e-mails that we send are signed and use DKIM, SPF and DMARC.
I would like to send Gigahertz a file or large amounts of data
- We reject emails larger than 30 MB. For the secure transfer of large files, ask your Gigahertz contact for an upload link to a secure cloud drive.
- Do not send us any executable files, scripts or macros. Attachments that may contain potentially harmful programs (viruses etc.) will be rejected.
- Microsoft Office files with macros are rejected. Here you can read how to remove macros from documents.
- Convert your documents into PDF or CSV files before sending them.
- ZIP and PDF files with attachments will only be sent if the files they contain also comply with our e-mail policy.
We discuss with you what your needs are and design your optimal network infrastructure for your business requirements.
